This earth isn’t as tectonically volatile as the original and the climate is improved. Increased warmth means increased water vapor and that means a hotter greenhouse with more storms. The storms hit the east coast harder and drive deeper into the interior. The continental interior is a bloody great jungle rainforest because of it, which generates it’s own weather system, like a small ocean. Neither are there any ice caps because the global climate is too hot for them and water circulation around the poles prevents ice buildup. The only real deserts are on the western edge.

This is also now a true binary planet system, with the second planet being two times larger than that of earth’s moon and having the same density as earth, and because it is larger it can hold an atmosphere, which it does, but it is only a little further in its orbit. Tidal forces are stronger and the western edge of the continent takes the brunt of those. This second habital planet is called Diana.
